UCC Cafe Terrace in Santolan Town Plaza offers a straightforward, no-frills coffee shop experience nestled in the busy heart of San Juan City. It’s where locals drop by for a solid cup of coffee that actually tastes like coffee—a detail appreciated by those who know the city’s spotty standards for brew quality. Their coffee comes in ceramic cups here, setting a slightly more upscale tone compared to other branches still using disposable options.

The cafe is a convenient spot for casual meetups, quiet solo work, or a quick stop during a stroll through San Juan. Outdoor seating is available, shaded to keep things comfortable during Metro Manila’s often hot afternoons. Just a heads-up, it’s also a hangout for local shop cats who sometimes take over the al fresco tables, adding a quirky local charm but something to keep in mind if you plan to sit outside.

The menu leans on Japanese-inspired café fare, with highlights like Chicken Katsu Chopped Salad, Salmon Teriyaki Bento, and Salmon Eggs Benedict. While dishes don’t come out piping hot since some are pre-prepared, portions tend to be satisfying enough—especially if you’re after a light, flavorful meal alongside your coffee. Popular pairings include their Flat White or Café Mocha, paired with cheese mamon or the cake of the day. Salads and parfaits cater well to health-conscious visitors, providing variety beyond the usual café snacks.

Service at UCC Cafe Terrace is generally friendly and efficient, with staff who know the menu and assist well, though some visitors have noted occasional fluctuations in staff mood during busy times. Parking is a definite plus here, with ample shaded options within the plaza, making it a practical stop for those driving through the area.

Overall, this is a spot that works best for those looking for a dependable coffee fix coupled with light meals in a laid-back setting. It fits well within the rhythm of the neighborhood’s daily life—whether for a mid-morning coffee break, a casual hangout to catch up with friends, or a quiet spot to work briefly without distractions. Early afternoons during weekdays tend to be quieter, while weekends see a livelier crowd, perfect for those who enjoy a bit of background buzz.

The food isn't cooked upon order, so it's not as hot (or feels reheated), but the taste is still good. I got full with just the salad. He staff are friendly. There's also plenty of outdoor and shaded parking in Santolan Town Plaza :)

We were looking for a place to catch up and talk a while and UCC was perfect. Service was really good. I had the cake of the day - it was tiramisu splenda which came with a coffee. The coffee was really strong (i stayed awake all night). Tiramisu was soaked in coffee and tasted really good. My friends had the matcha parfait. Also highly recommended.

UCC Cafe Terrace is an amazing coffee shop in the heart of San Juan. The signature coffee is consistent and is still the knockout out of their menu, and when we usually order clubhouse sandwiches during a merienda session, we opted to try the kani salad this time around. It was very delightful, the portions are reasonable and the kani used was of high quality. The prices are quite high, but it was definitely worth it. The cafe ambiance was just right, there was enough sunlight on every part of the cafe, and it is cozy enough to bring a book or a work laptop to study and review. The only lackluster part of the ambiance was that the chairs were already tattered and showing age of use. The actual town plaza was underwhelming though, so you only go here if you have actual business in the space. Overall a delightful afternoon spent, and is always appreciated.

UCC is still one of the best. Food is great and delicious. We just noticed that the service here is kinda disappointing. I understand if the staffs are tired but please refrain from showing a sad/mad face to the customers. Spread some good vibes. Smile at least!

The only decent place in the area to have a coffee that actually taste like coffee. Good service and the staff is friendly and efficient. They have their own restroom at the back. Al fresco sitting available but do check if seats are occupied by the shop cats lounging in the area. A detail I like to point out is unlike other UCC brands, CafeTerrace serve their coffee in a ceramic or porcelain cup with thin lips. The thin cup rims enhances the sensory experience of the coffee. it has more control for drinking and smelling the coffee. Making every sip more detailed and lighter compared to the standard heavy ceramic mug or cups.
